At PromptCare, we offer to submit your charges to your insurance company as a service for you. However, it is the patient's responsibility to confirm coverage for our Urgent Care Center. There are thousands of plans and it is impossible for our front desk personnel to know each patient's policy coverage.
We recommend that you verify your coverage prior to arrival so that you understand what your insurance plan will pay for and what you will personally be billed for. There is usually a toll-free number on your insurance card to call. Inform them of your desire to be seen at an Urgent Care Center called PromptCare-Jayhawk Healthcare and they should be able to inform you of your personal coverage.
We submit regularly to the following insurances, but find out if PromptCare is in network for your insurance plan.
• United Health
• Preferred Health
• First Health
• Great West
• Kansas Medicaid
Self pay patients are always welcome. We require such patients to pay for their Office Visit charge which can run generally from $90 - $150.00 at time of service. A $100 deposit is collected upon arrival. If a patient requires x-rays, labs, supplies or procedures, these are additional costs to the office visit charge. A discounted fee schedule is provided for patients who pay their full balance at the time of service. If the patient doesn't pay the entire bill on the day of service, the standard fee schedule is applied.
We accept cash, check and most major credit cards.
*PromptCare offers a new, convenient way for patients to pay their deductibles & other fees that their insurance determines are their responsibility. Now you can sign up to get your statement emailed and your bill auto-paid. Ask about credit card pre-auth at your next visit, and skip the hassle of paper bills!
